Synopsis:
Chainsmoker Cat (Season 1) follows the chaotic, nicotine-fueled misadventures of Yaniko "Yani" Sato, a lazy, unemployed catgirl who lives in a rundown apartment complex in Nyagamihara. Constantly broke and facing eviction, Yani spends her days desperately trying to fund her heavy smoking habit while actively resisting the interventions of her straight-laced sister, Imoko, and her unusually lenient landlord. From taking a disastrous job as a chaotic assistant to a risqué manga artist to embarking on a messy neighborhood road trip, Yani’s relentless quest for her next cigarette consistently drags her oddball neighbors into absurd, raunchy, and dark-comedic crises.
